Austin’s Chinese Immersion School
泰格沉浸式全中文小学
Welcome to Little Tiger!
We are a Chinese immersion school located in central Austin serving children 2 years old through fifth grade. As a full Chinese immersion school, Little Tiger is unique in the Austin-area.
Little Tiger students grow their Chinese language proficiency through learning and creative play. Subject areas include language, math, social studies, science, and the arts.
At Little Tiger, Chinese is not a subject—it is the medium we use for all of our activities, from morning meetings to math lessons to PE.
Health, Safety, and Covid-19
After a brief period of online learning, Little Tiger reopened to in-person learning for the Fall 2020 semester with extensive covid-19 risk reduction measures in place. These efforts have allowed us to meet the educational needs of our students while also prioritizing the health of our families and teachers.

Whole Child Approach
Our “Whole Child” approach emphasizes each child’s overall growth, including: cognitive, language, social-emotional, and physical development.
Our goal is to foster a fun, creative, engaging environment where students flourish academically and develop their curiosity through project-based learning.

Our collaborative team consists of 15 experienced teachers and administrators, each with at least masters-level academic training.

Learning at Little Tiger
Small class size. With low student-to-teacher ratios, we are able to practice differentiated learning. Students receive tailored, small-group lessons and learn based on their developmental readiness.
Math. Using the innovative Singapore Math Curriculum, our math program emphasizes critical thinking and creative approaches to problem solving.
English. While instruction and activities occur in Chinese, students’ English skills develop with the help of a dedicated English Language Arts staff. Kinder and elementary students receive regular, focused instruction in English reading and writing.
